B-Pump Akihabara bouldering
A popular climbing gym in Akihabara; a day pass and rental are around 2.000-4.000 ¥ depending on the offer. They also have a guided trial session for beginners for ~4.000 ¥.
B-Pump Akihabara is the largest bouldering gym in Tokyo, with almost 2.000 m² spread over four floors of increasing difficulty. Each floor has its own themed atmosphere and around a hundred problems ranging from V0 level for absolute beginners to V9 for advanced climbers. The third floor, with black walls and ambient light strips on a space theme, is the most photographed. The routes are partially reset every Tuesday to keep the variety. The centre has a Moon Board, Campus Board and Finger Board for specific training, as well as a gear shop and lockers. The day pass costs 2.200 ¥ and the climbing-shoe rental only 330 ¥ more; on the first visit you pay a one-off registration fee of 2.200 ¥. The hours are 12:00 to 23:00 on weekdays and from 10:00-11:00 at weekends. It is a three-minute walk from Suehirocho station (Ginza line). They have staff with some English.
