DiverCity Tokyo Plaza

DiverCity Tokyo Plaza is the most famous shopping centre in Odaiba and the home of one of the most recognisable icons of Japanese pop culture: the full-scale statue of the Unicorn Gundam, almost 20 metres tall. The figure changes between its normal form and Destroy mode (with lights and special effects) at scheduled times throughout the day and night, which makes it an impressive visual spectacle for fans and non-fans alike. Inside the complex you will find around 150 fashion, lifestyle and gastronomy shops, as well as THE GUNDAM BASE TOKYO, the most complete official Gunpla shop in the country. Access to the building and the statue area is free; you only pay for what you consume. There is a large food court with capacity for almost 1.000 people. To get there, take the Rinkai train or the Yurikamome monorail to Tokyo Teleport or Daiba station respectively, and walk a few minutes. It is a perfect visit to combine with the rest of Odaiba: the marine park, the Rainbow Bridge or teamLab.
