210 luxury and international-brand shops with Mount Fuji as a backdrop; reached by bus from Hakone-Yumoto or Shinjuku; free access.

The Gotemba Premium Outlets are the largest luxury outlet in Japan and, almost certainly, the one with the most spectacular scenery in the world: 210 shops of international brands (Gucci, Prada, Coach, Ralph Lauren, Nike, The North Face, Levi's and hundreds more) laid out in an open-air complex with Mount Fuji rising 3.776 metres directly in front of the main entrance, barely 25 kilometres away in a straight line. On clear days the view of the snowy cone above the shops is absolutely cinematic. The complex occupies 145.000 m² and also has restaurants, a food hall with products from the Fuji region, a children's area and a shuttle bus to Lake Kawaguchiko. Prices are between 30% and 70% cheaper than the usual retail prices, and foreign tourists have access to additional discount coupons at the information point at the entrance. Access to the facilities is free. Opening hours are 10:00 to 20:00 (closed on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month). It is reached by direct bus from Hakone-Yumoto (55 minutes, ~1.000 ¥) or from the Shinjuku Bus Terminal (110 minutes, ~1.800 ¥).
