Rickshaw tour through Asakusa
Tour Asakusa in a rickshaw pulled by a local guide next to Senso-ji and the district's lanes; short rides from around 3.000 ¥.
The rickshaw ride through Asakusa is a charming and comfortable way to discover the most traditional Tokyo from a somewhat elevated perspective and at the leisurely pace of a local puller. The driver, besides pulling the cart, acts as a guide and cheerfully explains the history of the district as you tour the area of the Senso-ji temple, the Kaminarimon gate, the lanes of low houses and corners that go unnoticed on foot. There are rides of different lengths: the shortest ones, of about ten or fifteen minutes, start at around 3.000 ¥, while the long itineraries of half an hour or more rise in price and include more stops, such as the Skytree area or the retro Rokku district. The driver usually helps you take photos at the best spots. It is an ideal plan for couples, families or people with reduced mobility who want to see Asakusa without walking too much. It is booked in the Asakusa area itself, a few minutes from the station (Ginza and Asakusa lines).
