Sanrio Puroland, also known as the land of Hello Kitty, is an indoor theme park located in Tama, west of Tokyo, dedicated to the Sanrio characters. Being completely covered it is an ideal plan for days of rain or great heat, and it is perfect for families and fans of the kawaii universe. Inside you will find gentle attractions such as the Sanrio characters' boat ride, musical shows and parades with Hello Kitty, My Melody, Kuromi or Cinnamoroll, as well as Hello Kitty's house and numerous photo zones and themed shops. Adult admission is around 3.600-4.900 ¥ depending on the day, and it is usually cheaper to book online than at the box office. It is reached in about 35 minutes from Shinjuku on the Keio or Odakyu line to Keio-Tama-Center station, a few minutes' walk away. Check the show times on arrival to organise the visit and, if you go in high season, book the ticket in advance to ensure access.
