Tobu World Square is an original theme park in the Kinugawa Onsen area near Nikko, bringing together more than a hundred 1:25-scale replicas of famous buildings and monuments from all over the world. In a single walk you can see the Eiffel Tower, the pyramids of Egypt, the Taj Mahal, the Statue of Liberty, the Forbidden City or Japan's great temples, all reproduced in astonishing detail and populated by some 140.000 miniature figures across beautifully kept gardens. It is a very entertaining outing for families and photographers, and a fun way to travel around the world in an afternoon. Admission is around 2.800 ¥. In the winter months, from November to March, the park is illuminated at dusk and extends its opening hours, adding extra appeal. It is reached by the Tobu line to Tobu World Square station, a few minutes' walk away. It is worth buying the ticket online to enter by scanning the QR code without queueing. It is a different alternative to the temples of Nikko, ideal to combine with the Kinugawa hot-spring area.
