Tokyo Dome City Attractions is a free-entry amusement park in the heart of Bunkyo, next to the Tokyo Dome stadium. As there is no entrance gate, you can stroll freely around the grounds and pay only for the attractions you want to use. The 5-attraction pass is around 3.000-3.500 ¥, while the unlimited pass for adults costs approximately 4.500 ¥ on weekdays and a little more at the weekend. The stars of the park are the Thunder Dolphin roller coaster (which passes through the park building), the Big O Ferris wheel (with no central spokes) and various family attractions. The park is perfect for an afternoon of entertainment without planning: you can have a coffee on the grounds, stroll and decide on the spot what to ride. It is open every day although the hours vary by season. The nearest station is Suidobashi (JR Chūō-Sōbu) or Kōrakuen (Metro Nanboku/Marunouchi), less than 5 minutes' walk away. Within the complex you will also find LaQua (the urban onsen) and the TeNQ Space Museum, which lets you combine several visits in a single day.
