The highest viewpoint in the city; admission to the Tembo Deck is around 3.100-3.800 ¥ depending on the combination.

The Tokyo Skytree is the tallest structure in Japan and the second-tallest tower in the world at 634 metres. From the Tembo Deck, the main viewpoint at 350 metres height, the views span up to 70 kilometres on clear days: in winter with clear skies you can see Mount Fuji perfectly. The viewpoint offers three floors with different perspectives, a café, a high-altitude restaurant and souvenir shops. Admission to the Tembo Deck costs between 2.000 ¥ and 3.100 ¥ depending on whether you buy at the box office or online in advance (online is cheaper and avoids the queue). To go up to the Tembo Galleria as well, the highest viewpoint at 450 metres, you have to pay a supplement. The Skytree opens every day from 10:00 to 21:00. To get there, take the metro to Oshiage (Asakusa or Hanzomon lines). Book on the official website in advance to make sure of a place in the time slot you prefer and to pay less. The clearest days in Tokyo are usually in winter (November to February). Combine the visit with the Sumida Aquarium and the Tokyo Solamachi complex to make the most of the trip.
