Tokyo Tower Bungee VR

Tokyo · Tokyo Tower / Shiba-koen · Sports

A free-fall virtual-reality experience at Tokyo Tower; activity around 1.200 ¥ plus admission to the viewpoint.

The Bungee VR experience at Tokyo Tower is one of the most original and adrenaline-fuelled attractions in the Japanese capital. Available at weekends and on holidays on the second floor of the tower's Main Deck, it combines virtual reality with physical devices that reproduce the sensation of free fall: they put VR goggles on you, you walk along a walkway that juts out from the tower and, when you "jump", the mechanism tilts while you receive gusts of wind and vibration that make the experience surprisingly immersive. The activity is priced at 1.200 ¥ for adults (plus admission to the viewpoint, which is around 1.200 ¥ extra) and lasts a few minutes, but the intensity makes up for it. There are weight (maximum 100 kg) and age (over 7 years) restrictions. It can only be done at weekends and on holidays. Tokyo Tower is a ten-minute walk from Onarimon or Akabanebashi station. Combine it with a visit to the Zojo-ji temple next door.
