Universal Studios Japan (USJ) is the most visited theme park in Japan and one of the best in the world. Its most anticipated attraction is Super Nintendo World, an immersive zone dedicated to the Mario Bros universe with roller coasters, interactive attractions and the chance to wear the Power-Up Band to collect coins. Other must-see zones are The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, with Hogsmeade and the Flight of the Hippogriff roller coaster, and the Hollywood and Jurassic Park attractions. Plan your day with the park's official app: the timed-entry tickets for Super Nintendo World are booked free from the app and sell out fast. The one-day pass costs from around 8.600 yen (depending on the season) and can reach 10.900 yen on peak dates; the Express Pass to skip queues costs from 9.800 yen extra. The park generally opens at 9:00. To get there, take the JR Yumesaki train from Osaka Station to the USJ stop; the trip takes about five minutes. Bring comfortable clothes, optional picnic food and plenty of battery on your phone.
