Abeno Harukas 300 viewpoint
Go up Japan's tallest skyscraper to see the Osaka skyline from 300 metres.
The Harukas 300 observatory crowns the Abeno Harukas skyscraper, the tallest building in Japan at 300 metres, located in the Tennoji district, south of central Osaka. The viewpoint occupies the 58th, 59th and 60th floors of the building and includes both a glass interior space and an open-air outdoor terrace from which you enjoy an absolutely clear 360-degree view: Osaka Castle to the north, the port and the bay to the west, the Rokko mountains to the northwest and the Shinsekai and Tennoji districts at your feet. The views at dusk and at night are especially impressive, with the whole city lighting up progressively. Admission costs 1.500 yen for adults; there is a supplement of 1.000 yen to access the "Edge the Harukas" zone, a more extreme outdoor walkway. The observatory opens from 9:00 to 22:00, with last entry at 21:30. To get there, the building is integrated directly into the JR Tennoji and Kintetsu Osaka Abenobashi stations, which makes it easy to access from anywhere in the city.
