teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka (night entry)

teamLab Botanical Garden Osaka is a permanent immersive digital-art exhibition located in the Nagai Botanical Garden, in the south of the city. Unlike other teamLab installations, this one operates exclusively at night and in the open air: among the trees and plants of the garden, interactive light works are projected that change with the seasons, react to the movement of visitors and create a fairytale atmosphere among the real vegetation. The garden paths become illuminated trails where digital flowers bloom beneath your feet and the trees are tinted with constantly evolving colours. The experience lasts between an hour and a half and two hours. Tickets are bought exclusively online and often sell out days in advance, especially in spring and autumn; book in good time. The price is around 1.800 yen for adults and 500 yen for children between 6 and 15. The garden opens at night; the last entry is usually at 20:30 and closing at 21:30. To get there, take the subway to Nagai station (Midosuji line) and walk about ten minutes to the botanical garden entrance.
